HI-BAC® is a tilmicosin-based product, a semisynthetic antibiotic of the macrolide class, used exclusively in veterinary medicine.

FORMULA:
Each 100 g of HI-BAC® contains
Tilmicosin (as phosphate) ……50.0 g
Excipients q.s…..……………100.0 g

INDICATIONS:                                                                     

HI-BAC® is an oral antibacterial drug indicated for: Swine: Treatment of infections caused by Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Haemophilus parasuis and Pasteurella multocida. Poultry (Gallus gallus): Treatment of infections caused by Avibacterium (Haemophilus) paragallinarum, Mycoplasma gallisepticum, Mycoplasma synoviae and Pasteurella multocida.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:                                          

Swine: the recommended dose to treat swine is 20 mg tilmicosin per kilogram live weight per day for 7-14 consecutive days.
Poultry (Gallus gallus): the recommended dose to treat poultry is 15-20 mg tilmicosin per kilogram live weight per day for 3-5 consecutive days.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD

Poultry (Gallus gallus): Withdraw the drug 15 days before slaughter.
Swine: Withdraw the drug 14 days before slaughter.
